The US and Canada are lagging Europe in online sales per shopper. Europe averaged 11.1% growth from 2014-2015 while the US and Canada grew at a slightly slower pace of 7.4% and 6.8% respectively. Germans were the biggest spenders in the EU with a year over the growth rate of 14.9% edging out the Poles who put up a respectable 14.2%. However, for an online shop the more exciting figure may be the amount spent per shopper. The UK barely squeezed out the US for the title of the highest average purchase total. Online shoppers in Germany and France stand atop the podium with the rest of the European countries closely packed in the middle.
